Baked Feta with Vegetables (Bouyourdi)

Discover this delicious recipe for baked Greek feta, served with tomatoes or zucchini, if you prefer. This is a delightful twist on the traditional feta and honey pairing.

Preparation

  1. 1Preheating

    Preheat the oven to 220°C.

  2. 2Preparing the feta

    Place the slice of feta in an oven-safe dish.

  3. 3Adding the vegetables

    Cut the tomato and scatter it in the dish on top of the feta. Do the same with the slices of pepper.

  4. 4Seasoning

    Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil over the dish, ensuring the bottom is coated. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over it. Add a pinch of oregano.

  5. 5Baking

    Place in the oven for about 15 minutes, until the feta turns golden. Once out of the oven, season to taste. Those with a spicy palate may add chili.
