Bring the milk and cream to a boil. -

Beat the eggs with the sugar in a bowl. Then, add the milk and cream mixture. -

Pour the mixture into ramekins. Place the ramekins in a dish filled with hot water for a bain-marie. -

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C (350°F). -

Remove from the oven and let cool. -
To finish
Before serving, sprinkle brown sugar over the crème brûlée and place the ramekins under the broiler for about 2 to 3 minutes.
