Coffee Mousse: A Light and Flavorful Dessert

This fluffy and aromatic coffee mousse is the perfect way to end a meal on a light note. While we often find ourselves gravitating toward chocolate mousse, a coffee mousse offers a delightful change. Ingredients

  • Sugar

    Sugar 100 g

  • Natural Coffee Flavor

    Natural Coffee Flavor 2 tbsp

  • Egg

    Egg 4 units

  • Liquid Cream

    Liquid Cream 20 cl

  • Chocolate Coffee Beans

    Whisk the egg yolks with the granulated sugar. Add the fresh cream and cook as you would a custard (without boiling). When the mixture thickens, remove from the heat and transfer to a bowl. Add the natural coffee flavor and mix well. Let it cool.

    Beat the egg whites until very firm. Gently fold them into the cooled cream mixture. Divide the mousse into serving cups and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. When ready to serve, top with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with a few coffee beans and bitter cocoa powder.
