Hazelnut Crescent Cookies (Bredele)

Soft Butter 160 g

Prepare the dough
In a bowl, mix the flour with the ground hazelnuts, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the soft butter cut into pieces and mix with your fingertips until you achieve a sandy texture. Add the egg and knead quickly to form a smooth and homogeneous dough. Wrap in plastic and chill for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 170°C (338°F) with static heat.

Prepare the cookies
Divide the dough into 4 pieces and shape them into logs about 2 cm in diameter. Cut each log into 10 pieces. Form small crescents and flatten them a little. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them slightly. Repeat with the remaining dough. Use a knife to make 5 slashes on each crescent, being careful not to cut too deeply.

Bake for 20 minutes or until they are slightly golden.

Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
