The natural sweetness of the oranges and clementines is enhanced by a delicately spiced syrup with notes of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.   • Vanilla

  • Imperial Mandarin

Preparation

    Using a peeler, remove the zest from two oranges and cut it into fine julienne strips.

    Bring 30 cl of water to a boil with the sugar and all the spices. Add the orange zest and boil for 5 minutes. Add the imperial mandarin and boil for an additional minute, then remove from heat.
  3. To finish

    Peel the oranges and clementines, then cut them into wedges.
    Arrange them in serving dishes and pour the syrup over the top.
    Refrigerate until ready to serve.
